Autodesk Hosts Autodesk Solutions Day; Supports Thai Industry to Advance in Design & Engineeringautodesk solutions day

Autodesk Thailand recently hosted an ‘Autodesk Solution Day 2014’ conferencein Bangkok at Plaza Athénée Bangkok. The conference aimed to support and prepare the Thai entrepreneurs in manufacturing and construction industry for AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in 2015 and advance ahead in design and engineering. The Autodesk Solutions Day was a one-day event where the global technology company showcased its latest 3D design software solutions for the various industries it covers architecture, engineering, construction and manufacturing. The event facilitated knowledge sharing to enable local practitioners to maximize their existing tools to boost their respective businesses, and ultimately, the industry as a whole.

One of the key highlight of the conference was the showcase of Autodesk FY15 suite of solutions for the manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction industry. The event also had key industry speakers from companies like Danielli, Bouygues-Thai Limited, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited and NHK Springs (Thailand) Co. Ltd. who presented case study about how they are using Autodesk software to move ahead faster in the design and engineering space.

The event also had senior industry experts like Ms. Lynn Allen, Cadalyst columnist and Autodesk Technical Evangelist as one of the keynote speakers. Ms Lynn shared about the future of design technology and how Autodesk software is empowering designers through its tools. According to her, the idea and belief that ‘everyone is a designer’ is changing the world of design and through cloud computing and mobile platforms, Autodesk is helping to make design more accessible and accelerate better design. Lynn highlighted that emerging countries like Thailand have the potential to emerge as a leading player in the manufacturing and building industry in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

Mr. Chatcharn Sutthipisal, Country Manager – Thailand shared that Autodesk is excited to help its Thai manufacturing and construction industries customers to get access to new design software and tools that can help them lower cost and speed up time to market, while gaining the ability to improve product design, quality and sustainability. While Mr. Chris Lee, Regional Sales Manager, Manufacturing Industry, ASEAN, Autodesk in his discussion explained how Autodesk innovation is helping Thai manufacturers to emerge strong and be competitive in the industry. Mr. Gianluca Lange, Regional Industry Manager, ASEAN shared the recommendation for developing country on develops new city and city road map with BIM.

The other big highlight at the event was the 3D printing showcase, talking about it Mr. Chris Lee shared that smaller manufacturing players can leverage on the growing popularity and accessibility of 3D printing. With Autodesk software – Autodesk Inventor, 123D Catch, Design and Make, consumers, hobbyists or manufacturers can now design, customize and manufacture the products they want at a reasonable price.

The conference was attended by 400+ senior industry professionals and experts from the various industries in Thailand. Autodesk also showcased their latest FY 15 product releases for manufacturing and construction industry at the event.
