Bosch in Thailand promotes cultural exchange to celebrate 50 years anniversary of its charitable foundation

  • Stuttgart Ballet to perform at Bangkok’s 16th International Festival of Dance and Music

Bangkok – This year, Bosch is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its charitable foundtaion, the Robert Bosch Stiftung. To celebrate this significant event in Thailand, the company is bringing the Stuttgart Ballet to Bangkok’s 16th International Festival of Dance and Music.

Being one of the major European foundations associated with a private company, the Robert Bosch Stiftung has managed the philanthropic bequest of company founder Robert Bosch for 50 years. It was his entrepreneurial vision, political farsightedness, moral fortitude and charitable initiatives that set the standards for the work of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

The foundation invests approximately 70 million euros annually in supporting projects in the fields of international relations, education, society and culture, as well as health and science. Since its founding, the Robert Bosch Stiftung has spent over 1.2 billion euros for charitable projects in these areas.

To reminiscent the founding of the Stiftung, Bosch in Thailand is promoting an exchange of cultures by co-sponsoring the Stuttgart Ballet’s tour in Bangkok. The troupe has been one of the world’s most renowned companies in international dance for more than 50 years and will be performing from October 25 to 26, 2014, as part of Bangkok’s 16th International Festival of Dance and Music.
