Apart of the newest range of high-end headphones, the Sennheiser Sound Forum took the opportunity to highlight some of the brand’s popular range of headphones. The award-winning HD 800, features a completely novel type of transducer and an innovative ear cup design which is aimed at highly discerning audiophiles who are looking for the ultimate in sound reproduction. The HD 800 delivers outstanding frequency response of 6 to 51,000 Hz, its ring design minimises the distortion and gives a brilliant sound image, even with a transducer as large as 56 mm. With total harmonic distortion of less than 0.02 percent (at 1 kHz and 100 dB sound pressure level), the HD 800 has brilliant trebles, precise bass reproduction and a much clearer sound image. The appearance of the HD 800 is also in keeping with its exceptional sound performance: a puristic design language and a silver finish give the headphones a look of exclusive elegance. It is the perfect combination of innovative technology with carefully selected materials and the highest quality workmanship.
The ultimate objective of modern headphone development is to reproduce sound that is as realistic and accurate as possible. Sennheiser also displayed its prestigious red dot ‘best of the best 2013’ award-winning headphone amplifiers HDVD 800, which have been built to fit the demands of Sennheiser’s top-of-the-line, audiophile headphones.
