FORBES NAMES ALISÉE DE TONNAC OF SEEDSTARS WORLD TO ITS SECOND ANNUAL 30 UNDER 30 EUROPE LIST
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, February 1, 2017 – Alisée De Tonnac, CEO of Seedstars World, was named to Forbes’ second annual “30 Under 30 Europe” list in the category of Social Entrepreneurs. The list features 300 young innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders across Europe who are under 30 years of age and who are transforming business, technology, finance, media, culture and more, as judged by some of the most accomplished and acclaimed individuals in each category. Alisée de Tonnac is co-founder and CEO of Seedstars World, an organisation that runs an international competition focused on emerging markets to promote entrepreneurship and investment in start-ups throughout the world.
Alisée has been traveling around the world since she can remember, from Singapore to Italy, California to France and Switzerland. She started her career as a product manager for luxury brands at L’Oréal Group, before joining the Italian team at Voyage Privé, a leading European start-up.
In 2013, she discovered her entrepreneurial spirit and took off for a one-year world tour to set up the first edition of Seedstars World. Alisée wanted to focus on fast-growing markets and emerging start-up scenes, as she saw a tremendous amount of untapped potential and global opportunities. She is now managing the company and taking it to the next level. The competition is now present in 60+ cities and by next year Seedstars World will be launching 15 strategic hubs (seedspace co-working + seedstars academies) around the world. She now has accumulated deep knowledge of trends in technology, social media & consumer behavior in Emerging Markets.
Graduated from HEC Lausanne and obtained her Master’s in International Management at the Bocconi University (Italy) with highest honors. She was also member of the Harvard Model Congress Europe where she won the Award of Excellence, where she won the Award of Excellence and she is a WIRED2015 Innovation Fellow for her inspiring work in developing start-ups around the world.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list covers 10 categories – Arts, Entertainment, Finance, Industry, Media, Policy, Retail & Ecommerce, Science & Healthcare, Social Entrepreneurs and Technology – with each of the honorees vetted by a panel of expert judges in their respective fields.
