Bangkok, November 14, 2017 – Business leaders in Asia Pacific’s healthcare industry from Microsoft Asia Digital Transformation Survey are showing urgency that businesses need to transform in digital era where 77% of them believe that they need to transform to a digital business to enable future growth and yet only 25% said that they have a full digital strategy in place today, 45% are in progress with specific digital transformation initiatives for selected parts of their organization while 30% still have very limited or no strategy in place.
The Microsoft Asia Digital Transformation Study surveyed 1,494 business leaders from Asia Pacific working in organizations with more than 250 employees from 13 Asia Pacific markets: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. All respondents were pre-qualified as being involved in shaping their organizations’ digital strategy. This included 247 healthcare leaders from Asia Pacific.

Furthermore, Praram 9 Hospital’s vision calls for digital technologies to be used in enhancing our management capabilities – including data analysis to deliver better, faster clinical treatments with exceptional accuracy and efficiency. We aim to empower all employees to work effectively by using information technology to facilitate both our staff and customers. The introduction of IT can also help analyze and identify the exact treatment to specific patients and allow the hospital to further develop in the right direction in keeping with medical ethics. Currently, we are working on the development of a new mindset for our employees in utilizing digital technologies to transform our organization with sustainable stability and security.”
Tatiana Marushevskaya added: “The ability to harness data and analytics represents the new currency for healthcare providers, and 76% of business leaders agreed that new data insights could allow healthcare providers to benefit from higher operating income. Emerging technologies, specifically, cloud, analytics and new capabilities like AI and IoT will give organisations new capability to transform.
