Bangkok – March 28, 2016 – A-HOST Co., Ltd. and Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) signed a memorandum for “The Development of a Sustainable Ecosystem for Digital Economy” project in order to enable farmers in the Northeast to distribute their products via an online system dubbed “ADAPT”, hence boosting their competitiveness in digital economy.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Viroj Limkaisang, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI), said that RMUTI and A-HOST had recently signed a memorandum for the development of a sustainable ecosystem for digital economy, aiming to enable farmers and manufacturers in RMUTI’s network to upgrade their competitiveness in digital economy by adding more value and increasing revenue from their products.

“This initiative will help enhance productivity and quality control in accordance with international standards. This includes the development of better packaging and other innovations that help maintain product quality. And more importantly, it will create a more efficient distribution channel that enables faster delivery. With such differentiators, farmers and manufacturers will directly benefit from competitive advantages. Meanwhile, consumers will obtain high-quality and safe products with fair prices.”

Bunprasit Tangchaisuk, CEO of A-HOST, said that A-HOST is a leading application service provider with a proven track record, serving customers in Bangkok, other provinces and neighboring countries. A-HOST has supported the development of a sustainable ecosystem for digital economy by providing development and IT services for this project. The company will also manage the digital commerce platform called “ADAPT” (which stands for A-HOST Digital And Process Transformation). This system will help improve distribution and it is optimized for different products and target markets.

“ADAPT” accommodates services for marketing, online shopping, payment, membership, promotion, traceability, security, and more. The platform allows sellers to broadly extend their reach to consumers, with various options for secure electronic payment, supported by reliable cloud infrastructure services. A-HOST will provide assistance and support in various areas such as designing processes for each function, managing back-office operation, providing distribution channels and logistics, supporting marketing efforts, etc. This will contribute to a complete ecosystem, facilitating both producers and consumers, and delivering better customer experience.

“A-HOST is pleased to join this initiative in order to empower local farmers in the digital economy. Our professionals will closely collaborate to ensure successful implementation and operation of relevant systems under this project,” Bunprasit added.
