RetailEX ASEAN / POS & Auto ID 2016, will showcase the latest retail technologies, retail equipment, fitting design and e-commerce solutions from both local and international exhibitors from more than 200 exhibiting companies and brands. RetailEX ASEAN aims to be the trend-setting platform to the ASEAN market that will bring opportunities for both retailers and suppliers, unite and lead the ASEAN retail industry towards higher industry standards, as well as increase success and greater recognition on the world stage.

 Mrs. Anong Paijitprapaporn, Director of the Logistics Bureau, DPIM, Ministry of Industry stated that  “Thailand’s retail industry is an attractive country for investment, perceived by many investors as an attractive investment destination, especially consumer-oriented commerce, which has considerable potential to grow there. Supporting factors include a large market with over 60 million people, high urbanization throughout their country, and rising incomes, all of which encourage new lifestyles and spending behaviors in their urban settings. Besides; the investors are fully acquainted with the nature of The Thai market and their brands have established a footing with consumers there, they may consider expanding into bigger outlets such as department stores or hyper-market to attract a broader sampling of consumers.”

Ms. Jariya Chirathiwat, President, Thai Retailers Association said, “Thailand’s economics has been responsible for a strong growth in recent years which has benefitted the Thai Retailing industry. As the key representative association of the Thai retailing industry, Thai Retailers Association aimed to support and leverage on high growth rate to modernize  business operations for the better positioning of retail businesses and lending strong support for regional business expansion. However, I believe that the strong commitment shown by our association as well as our co-organisers will brand this Event as a serious business platform that strive to help in differentiating & developing sustainable businesses for the retail trade in ASEAN”.

Held alongside the exhibition, is a 2 day main Summit on “ASEAN Retail & Shopping Mall Summit, 2016 with Day 1 topics focusing on Retail trends, retail business modelling, with renowned speakers addressing about the opportunity or threat for the Thai retailers with the AEC; The future of retail cash handling, rethinking on loyalty; Next Generation QR Code as O2O IOT connector, Experience retail concepts for the ultimate shopper experience and more.  Day 2 concentrates on the shopping malls with topics such as new trends for the shopping mall experience, the digital implication for in store visual merchandising, the internet of things and big data for retail, as well as panel discussions hearing from renowned speakers from the industry.   This Summit provides essential information regarding the retail business and market by knowledgeable speakers from specific fields critical to the success of retail businesses.
