TCCtech Selected to Provide Data Center Services for AIA Thailand:

Emphasizing on its position as

Thailand Trusted Data Center Hub for Leading MNCs

16 June 2017 – Bangkok – TCCtech Data Center was selected to provide Data Center Services to AIA Thailand, a member of AIA Group which is the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group.  The Services will be promptly available in case primary site goes down. This deal emphasizes on TCCtech’s positions as Trusted Data Center Hub for Leading Multi-National Companies.

Mr. Kitti Manakongtreecheep, Chief Information Technology Officer of AIA Thailand, said “the AIA Group’s imperatives set of requirement for data center providers in Thailand were, to a great extent, high and therefore rather a challenge for me to refine such vendor amongst all providers in Thailand. Ultimately TCCtech data center was selected to be AIA Thailand secondary site for its active/standby failover”.

Since 2016, following the group’s transition plan, the company considered all options available: to upgrade and modernize, to build a new site, to outsource, and all other permutations thereof. However, the legacy datacenter housed in the company’s building posed limitations to renovate and upgrade to current industry standards. Constructing a new site was simply not practical since it would not be cost-effective and would be time-consuming. “The best way is to outsource it, of course. This is the trend in the world.,” explained Kitti.

Mr. Voradis Vinyaratn, Executive Director and Acting MD of TCCtech, stated    “Today the leading corporations need to mitigate their risks. They look into the Multiple Sites Strategy to ensure their business continuity.   With our positioning as Thailand Trusted Cloud-Enabled Data Center Hub, as well as, our strong MNCs customer base, we are very familiar with the stringent business requirements. The trust that AIA Thailand has confined in our professional services further enhanced our belief in providing the most secured environment for our clients’ assets. We take pride in that.

Meanwhile, datacenter outsourcing is a growing trend all over the world, including in Thailand. IDC Thailand estimates that the datacenter services market — _which includes hosting infrastructure services, hosted application management, and network and endpoint outsourcing services — _is growing at a fast pace at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 18% from 2015 to 2020”
